Lately, I’ve been having pretty good days. Happy. Content. Motivated. (With the exception of work, of course. Always finds a way to tick me off!) 

So a couple of days ago, I was set on planning out the rest of my degree and everything I wanted to fit in whilst at uni. Prior to this, I only knew that I wanted to do this and that – not putting much thought in how it’ll actually fit in or work out within my remaining two years. I have chosen to double major – Accounting and Japanese. Along with this, I’ve ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS wanted to go on exchange! Even during high school! haha. Seeing as my second major would be Japanese, exchange to Japan seems quite fitting, right? I’ve already started looking up possible universities! This motivated me so much. Along with this, I’m also hoping to score a summer internship. Which means, study, study, study, clubs, clubs, clubs, volunteer, volunteer, volunteer! 

Seeing as I didn’t take any Japanese at all in my first year, to actually major in Japanese would push me back a year. Which is actually fine by me if that means I’ll be able to fit in exchange and the reward of a second major. If I kept it to just accounting and graduating by 2014 – I doubt I’d be able to squeeze in exchange in my 3rd year (especially since there were so many subject restrictions set by the business faculty for overseas study) and my degree would be so dry with just accounting.

In other news, being close to the City for uni isn’t so good on the diet as well as the wallet. haha. If I’m bored or hungry, I can just use my multi ticket and take a bus to George St or something. Eat something good and regretting it almost instantly. Also! Meetfresh has been crazy addictive lately!! Seriously, it is so good!!! I love their taro balls hehehe. (Taro balls no. 6 is my fave!!!!!!)  

What else … yeah, I should probably get to my readings now!

This will be an all over the place post. Mainly pictures (wah? for real? haha) and just the main stuff i’ve been getting up to lately.

Firstly! I got a macbook pro last week I LOVE it and I also just put a satin pink speck case on it. Might be a bit much for $70 but I’d rather have speck than a random ebay brand that’s like 20? Anyway.

also, I got my white iphone 4 yesterday. To be really honest, I’m not all that wow-ed by it….? I can see why people ‘like’ it, but not so much ‘love’ it that they would say it’s the best phone evarrrrr. Please try an android phone and then compare. I mean, it could merely be preference .. who knows. Good points: it’s white (=pretty), it’s got instagram!!! (i freaking love this app and wthell, it’s free as well!), have not experienced lag yet (maybe because it’s new?) and some of it’s apps (mainly games) are quite nice and not buggy. BAD, however: EMAIL EMAIL EMAIL. I was freaking shocked at how bad it is. Whether it be the email client already installed in the iphone or email/gmail apps (both free AND paid) … ALL of them were ridiculous. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING compared to the gmail client on android. Twitter on iPhone’s good, though… as well as facebook. No lag etc etc.

Other than the email issue, it’s quite a nice phone .. OH! another minus, you can hardly customise it (WITHOUT jailbreaking). It’s so easy to customise my galaxy and make it your ‘own’.

ANYWAYS. Moving on, since I really did not feel like the iphone was right for me, i ordered the samsung galaxy 2. I’ll give the iphone to my mum. LOL, if I miss the iphone (for instagram reasons LOL jks), then I’ll swap with her. hahahha.

YEAH.

OH! I started sem 2 for uni today. Let’s just say, it was alright. I’VE GOT THIS. Priorities: study, save, work…shop.

Anyways. Just got back from May’s surprise party which was quite successful in the ‘surprise’ department. lol. It was SO cold, though so …after a while, people stopped hanging outside and just went it. But it was fun

Blogging because I need a break from ‘studying’ for finals.

Today was my last day of Uni for the sem…. How. freaking. fast.

I think it feels SO much faster than ONE term at school because .. well, the days aren’t full and each unit has like, 1 tute and 1 or 2 lectures per week. Compare that to going to class from 9-3 and having each subject max 3 times a week?!

But anyways. My first sem at uni wasn’t too bad. Could definitely use improvements on my part. lol.

Firstly, I should actually attend my lectures (well, the one’s worth attending, anyway LOL) For accounting this sem, my enrolled lecture .. the lecturer was … idk, intimidating and dry. I attended the first 5 lectures until I went all ‘cbf’ attending Accounting lectures altogether, which then led to me not doing my homework. lol.

Today, I went to a different accounting lecture, an earlier one with a diff lecturer – a BETTER lecturer. I freaking wished I just went to this lecture all sem instead. Maybe, I wouldn’t be doing so bad in accounting. LOL. I went to all my lectures for finance and financial mathematics – I’m doing preeeetttyy well if I’d say so myself ^^, LOL – wait, I don’t want to jinx it. haha. I got 9.75/10 again! Hohohoho.

…and I lost the 1/4 mark in the elements section again, not in the calculations/techniques section. Weird. but whatevs. lol.

Anyways, back on topic. .. Yeah, i should stop being so lazy and go to my lectures and tutes next sem.

Also, I should TRY and NOT study the day of an exam. As in, if I have an exam at 3pm, don’t study from 9-3 only. This ‘technique’ has so far worked for every unit EXCEPT for accounting. LOL.

Andddd, I should probably look less pissed off all the time and a little more approachable? I mean, I’m not unfriendly or anything. When I see uni friends I’m alright – smile, converse etc. But when I’m just by myself, I’m usually not in the mood to always have this happy/approachable/friendly ..like.. aura? More like, ‘efftheworld’ attitude. LOL! But I swear I’m not emo or whatever. Just … sometimes I’m just tired and moody. You know when you’re walking one way, and there’s people walking the opposite direction? Sometimes strangers walking the opposite way (by nature may be happy-go-lucky or just generally friendly) will smile at you. I would … usually not smile back. Rather I’d have a –’ face and just keep walking. Like, I didn’t realise what kind of a mood-wrecker I could be. LOL. So, to stop rambling on and on – I should TRY and lovetheworld more. hahha. …. yeah, I think that’s it.

Apart from that. WORK, SAVE MONEY (for phils, macbook pro and korea next year), STUDY. Freaking … wthell. I seriously just typed it in that order. Dedicated student right here. lol.
